About Makkah Market
Makkah Market was established in December of 2014. We were a new startup in the South Bay area trying to build a reputation on quality food at unbeatable prices. Our goal has remained the same through the years, only setting the bar higher and higher with each satisfied customer.
We are a family owned and operated business, what started out as just an idea has blossomed into a South Bay staple. Our primary focus had been on grocery when we first opened, after a few months we quickly added in a takeout restaurant and haven't looked back since. We hope to build on our past, and continue moving forward into the hearts of the South Bay community!

A packed store full of things I've never heard of but am oh, so curious about. I come here to buy halva - a middle Eastern dessert delicacy. And they have several options. I'll want to spend more time here and noticed today that there's an attached restaurant next door. Gotta come back soon!

It's like stepping into a real oriental bazaar! 🌿🍇 At first, the smell of spices makes your head spin, then the stalls with brightly colored fruits and sweets make you forget about your diet 😅. The vendors are so friendly that you leave feeling like you've made new friends and a kilo of baklava all at once. I recommend it to anyone who wants a little Eastern flavor in their everyday life—both your stomach and soul will be grateful!

The owner helped us find an appropriate gift to take some friends of ours. He was extremely nice & helpful. My wife says his prices on herbs is the best she's found.

COVID-19 precautions seem to be in place as of March 2022. This market also is preparing and selling warm meals; like in a food court. I will report once we have had our first meal from there. Parking is easy. It’s in the strip mall. There are quite a variety of ethnic shops and restaurants around it. We ordered four different items for take out. The chickpea dish was decent; albeit a bit oily (Famous Tandoori on PCH sets the standard; but that’s just us) The Tandoori chicken was pretty good. The Naan was excellent. My hubby especially like the sesame Naan. The Kir dessert was ok.
